Gestern Nacht wurden in Las Vegas die 27ten DICE Awards verliehen. Vorallem Larian Studios mit Baldur´s Gate 3 und Insomniac Games mit Marvel´s Spider-Man 2 wurden mit mehreren Auszeichnungen geehrt
Gewinner des Abends
Baldur´s Gate 3 wurde zum „Game of the Year“ gekürt und erhielt ebenfalls den Award für „Outstanding Achievement in Story“, „Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction“, „Outstanding Achievement in Game Design“ und wurde auch zum „Role-Playing Game of the Year“ gekürt.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ist jedoch der wahre Gewinner des Abends, dieses Spiel gewann mit sechs Auszeichnungen sogar mehr Awards als Baldur´s Gate 3. Spider-Man 2 gewann die Awards für „Action Game of the Year“, „Outstanding Technical Achievement“, „Outstanding Achievement in Animation“, „Outstanding Achievement in Character“, „Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition“, sowie die Auszeichnung für „Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design“.
Weitere Gewinner
Nintendo räumte zwei Awards für The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom („Adventure Game of the Year“) und Super Mario Bros. Wonder („Family Game of the Year“) ab. Diablo IV gewann die Auszeichnung für „Online Game of the Year“. Mit dem Award für „Fighting Game of the Year“ wurde Street Fighter 6 ausgezeichnet. Forza Motorsport und Dune: Spice Wars gewannen die Awards für „Racing Game of the Year“ und „Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year“. Besondere Ehrung für Koji Kondo
Die Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) ehrte den japanischen Komponist und Pianist Koji Kondo. Über 40 Jahre lang komponierte Koji Kondo Musik für Nintendo und prägte den ikonischen Sound von Super Mario und The Legend of Zelda.
